Rector speaks

Rector welcomes to DNC Blog

The 27th of Dec, 2011, The Feast of St John the Evangelist, the beloved disciple of the Lord Jesus, provides us an ideal opportunity to inaugurate the DNC staff & student blog.

By offering his testimony of the word made flesh, as stated in the prologue of his first letter (1 Jn 1:1-4), he communicates to us what they  (the apostles) actually experienced, for our growth in the Christian faith.

St John welcomes us to experience Christan fellowship with one another, by participating in the life of the Father though the experience of his Son, Jesus. Our hope is that all of us: past & present staff & students of DNC, experience the same fellowship as we share our life, both at DNC and wherever we are privileged to offer loving service.

You are welcome to enter into fellowship with us, share in our joy, by reading what is uploaded, by adding your comments, and sharing your own insights, experiences and thoughts, photos, videos, so as to promote the overall growth of each of us, for the mission of the Society of Jesus, wherever we are sent, for his greater glory.

St Ignatius emphasized the need to communicate with one another, as a means to know one another and to encourage one another on the path that leads to life. The internet offers us a modern instrument to continue the wisdom Ignatius set in motion. I welcome and encourage Ours to use this valuable means to widen this circle of ‘Friends in the Lord.’
